AlcoLog 1.3.2 ยท a free challenge

Sober October 2026

A free 31-day challenge inside AlcoLog. Every alcohol-free day in October adds one to your count. There is no streak to break, and a day you drink simply adds nothing.

  • iPhone
  • Android
  • Free for everyone

For iPhone and Android. The challenge comes with AlcoLog 1.3.2 on both. Update the app, then look for the card on Home.

Using AlcoLog in the UK? There the app calls it the Alcohol-Free October Challenge. It is the same challenge, with the same count.

How it works

Join once, then use AlcoLog the way you already do. The challenge reads your diary, so there is nothing extra to log.

  1. Sep 16

    The invite appears

A card on Home invites you and counts down to October 1. Join now, or tap Not this year to hide it.

  2. Oct 1 to 31

    Every alcohol-free day counts

Each day with no drinks logged adds one. A day you drink turns gray, and the count carries on.

  3. Any day

    Join late, lose nothing

Join on October 10 and the alcohol-free days you already had in October count too.

  4. Nov 1 to 7

    Your October, in gold

A gold card shows your total for a week, whatever the number. From November 8 the challenge is gone until next year.

On Home, across the month

One card, three moments. It sits under the session card, and the faded parts are the rest of Home. The numbers are an example.

Sep 16The invite, with a countdown to October 1

Nobody is signed up without tapping Join. Not this year asks first, then hides the card. You can still join from Settings.

Oct 16Day 16, with three drink days so far

A count, not a streak. A drink day turns gray and the count carries on, so there is nothing to break and nothing to restart. Tap the card to see your month.

Nov 1The challenge is over, and the card stays for a week

Everyone who joined gets the gold card, whatever the number. It leaves Home after seven days.

Tap the card to see your month

Your count, an October calendar and three numbers. Nothing about units or how much you drank.

Forgot to log a drink?

Tap that day in the calendar and it stops counting. Tap it again to give it back. It is the same mark as tapping the day in History, so the two calendars always agree.

Today counts too

Today counts while it stays alcohol-free. A session counts on the day it started, so the first drink turns today gray straight away.

Your week, your way

The calendar starts the week on the day your phone's region uses: Sunday in the US, Monday in the UK and most of Europe.

Left out on purpose

No units or drink totals, no badges, no sharing and no reminders. Drink days are gray, never red. The challenge is only the count.

Leaving is always an option

Leave Challenge asks first. The card leaves Home and your History is not changed, and you can rejoin at any time.

Join or leave from Settings

Hid the invite and changed your mind? From September 16 to October 31, Settings shows the challenge just below Premium, with a switch to join or leave.

One switch

Turn it on to join and see your count on Home. Turn it off to leave: AlcoLog asks first, and your History stays as it is.

No account needed

The challenge counts from the diary you already keep in AlcoLog. There is nothing to sign up for.

Find it on the App Store

On iPhone, the App Store shows the challenge as an event with the Challenge badge. Tap it and AlcoLog opens straight to your month.
