Everyone forgets a night. You get to the pub, the phone stays in your pocket, and the next morning there is a gap in your history where an evening should be.
Add a Past Session fills that gap. It is free for everyone, and the session you build is not a second-class entry: it gets the same timeline, the same totals, and the same AlcoScore treatment as one logged live.
# Step 1. Start from the Home screen
With no session running, tap Add a Past Session on the Home screen.
You do not need to remember much. A rough start time and the drinks you had is enough to make the entry worth having.
# Step 2. Set when the session started
Tap Session start and pick the date and time on the calendar. This is the anchor for everything else, so get it roughly right; you can nudge it afterwards.
The session end is worked out for you from your last drink, and the screen tells you what it settled on, for example Ends 11:30 pm (last drink + 30 min).
# Step 3. Add the drinks
Tap + Add More Drinks and add them one at a time, the same way you would during a live session: type, size, ABV, cost.
Until you add the first one the screen says No drinks yet. Tap Add Drinks to build the session.
Each drink carries its own time, which is what makes the timeline and the pacing figures meaningful rather than a lump at one moment.
# Step 4. Fix anything you got wrong
Tap any drink in the list to change its type, size, cost or time. The screen says so directly: Tap a drink to edit its type, size, cost or time.
Use Remove to drop a drink you added by mistake.
Moving a drink outside the session window is handled rather than rejected. If a time no longer fits, AlcoLog offers to move the boundary for you instead of silently clamping it.
# Step 5. Add medication if you took some
Tap Medication to record a dose against this session, with its own time.
This matters for Sinclair Method users in particular, where the gap between the dose and the first drink is the whole point of the method. A past session records that gap the same way a live one does.
# Step 6. Save
Tap Save. The session lands in your history, counts toward your weekly goal and streaks, and is scored exactly like any other.
If you back out first, AlcoLog warns you with The drinks you have added have not been saved yet. and offers Keep Editing or Discard Session, so a slip of the thumb does not throw away the work.
# Whatโs next
Once it is saved it behaves like any other session, so reading your drinking history works the same way, and it feeds your AlcoScore alongside everything else.
If you find yourself back-filling often, favorites make each drink a single tap, and automatic sessions from locations can start the session for you next time so there is nothing to remember.
