AlcoLog v1.0.6 is a reliability and quality-of-life release. There’s no single headline feature this time. Instead, the everyday experience just got smoother across the board, with the biggest gains for people who track on their Apple Watch. As always, none of this needs an account, and your data stays on your device.

# Apple Watch, properly in sync

This is the heart of v1.0.6. Watch sync is now faster and far more reliable in both directions:

  • The Watch app opens straight to your current session. No more waiting for it to catch up or tapping around to find where you are. Open it mid-session and you’re looking at the session you’re already in.
  • Sessions you start on your iPhone start on your Watch too. Begin a session on your phone, glance at your wrist, and it’s already running there.
  • Sessions you start on your Watch now wake up your iPhone. Start tracking from your wrist and the Dynamic Island and Live Activity appear on your iPhone automatically, so you get the same at-a-glance view no matter where you began.

Two smaller fixes round out the Watch experience. Your session-resume setting is now honored on the Watch, so if you’ve chosen “End Immediately,” the Watch respects that instead of holding the session open. And the quote or motivational note you see when you start a session now matches on your iPhone and your Watch, rather than showing two different lines.

The result: starting, checking, and ending a session feels like one experience across both devices, not two apps trying to agree with each other.

# One list of saved locations

If you use saved locations, they’re now unified into a single list everywhere they appear: session triggers, medication reminders, and the Locations Manager all draw from the same set. Your saved-location limit is now consistent across the app instead of being counted separately in different places.

Adding a place is clearer too. The new Set Location flow on Add Drink lets you tag a one-off place for a single drink, or save it to your Locations with a single toggle, without leaving the screen you’re on.

# See your week at a glance

The AlcoScore screen has a new weekly trend chart. Instead of only seeing today’s number, you can now see how your score and your habits move over time, week by week. It’s the same idea behind everything in AlcoLog: awareness, not judgment. Seeing the direction you’re heading is often more useful than any single day’s figure.

# Start your Premium free trial from Settings

Premium now includes a 14-day free trial for new subscribers, and eligible users can start it directly from Settings. The trial unlocks the full Premium tier, including the Apple Watch companion, the expanded widget set, additional app icons, more saved locations, and detailed AlcoScore insights. Cancel any time during the trial and you won’t be charged.

# Plus the usual polish

v1.0.6 also brings a round of smaller refinements: more consistent wording across screens, layout tidying in a few places, and a cleaner subscription screen. Individually small, but together they make the app feel a little more considered everywhere you look.

Track smarter. Drink better. v1.0.6 is rolling out on the App Store now.
