AlcoLog v1.3.2 brings one new feature, timed for October: the Sober October Challenge. It’s out now on the App Store and Google Play, so update the app and look for the new card on Home.

# The Sober October Challenge

Count every alcohol-free day in October. There is no streak to break and no judgment on the days you drink: each alcohol-free day simply adds one to your total. Join from the new card on Home any time until October 31, and the alcohol-free days you have already had in October count too. Free for everyone.

  • From September 16, a card on Home invites you and counts down to October 1. Not ready? Tap Not this year to hide it, and join later from Settings.
  • From October 1 to 31, each day with no drinks logged adds one. A day you drink turns gray and the count carries on.
  • Tap the card to see your month: your count, an October calendar, your longest run and the days to go. Forgot to log a drink? Tap that day and it stops counting.
  • From November 1, a gold card shows your October total for a week.

There are no units or drink totals in the challenge, no badges, no sharing and no reminders. Nothing is behind Premium, and you do not need an account.

Using AlcoLog in the UK? There the app calls it the Alcohol-Free October Challenge. It is the same challenge.
