AlcoLog 2.0.2 is now live on the App Store and on Google Play, so iPhone and Android are on the same version again. On Android and Wear OS it is the big one: everything from 2.0 and 2.0.1 arrives in a single update. On iPhone and Apple Watch it is a polish release.
# Android and Wear OS: everything from 2.0 in one update
- Sober Mode, free for everyone. Count alcohol-free days, with a 10-second evening check-in, milestones, a breathing screen to ride out cravings, and the money and calories you save.
- Two free Sober widgets, and Sober Mode on Wear OS with Premium.
- Sober alerts, and your own motivational notes before tough evenings.
- A custom drink size in ml or fl oz.
- Sober Mode in your export.
- Seven new languages, 14 in all.
- Fixes in every language.
# Google Drive backup
With Premium, AlcoLog for Android saves a copy of your sessions, drinks, Sober Mode and settings to your own Google Drive once a day, and keeps the three most recent. You can also tap Back Up Now at any time. Only you can see the backup, and it never reaches us. Health Connect data is not included.
If you reinstall AlcoLog, it finds your backup and offers to restore it, so you pick up where you left off. You can also restore later in Settings, under Data & Privacy. If Premium ends, new backups pause, but the ones you have stay yours to restore. The privacy policy has the full detail.
It is the Android side of the iCloud backup on iPhone.
# iPhone and Apple Watch: a polish release
2.0.2 on iPhone comes from a line-by-line check of every screen in all 14 languages.
- The “Session Ended” notice now arrives on time, even when AlcoLog is in the background.
- Motivational reminders show a different note each time.
- Widgets: Add Drink opens Add Drink, a favorite logs that favorite, and Another repeats your last drink exactly.
- AlcoScore no longer drops when you stop drinking, and Sober Mode never lowers it.
- Evening check-in reminders keep coming, instead of stopping two weeks after you last opened the app.
- Hundreds of translation fixes, and corrected brand notes.
